Hi all:
I've used vnc for several years, currently i'm using RealVNC Free Edition 4.1.2.

The big issue I encountered is clipboard transfering with Chinese characters,
it seems all chinese characters are stripped out when clipboard data transfered
from/to the other side.

I've also tried UltraVNC or TightVNC, I got the same result. So, is it caused
by vnc protocol? and, is there a way to transfer Chinese/Multi-Bytes characters
between vnc client and server?

Yes, that's due to VNC protocol which doesn't support Unicode (or
more generally, multi-byte characters). There's nothing you could do.
But there's some workarounds (not without pain), like eg use some
on-line note, like gmail note, and paste those Chinese string and get
them back in client side.
